Had a little time on my hands
So i decided to try and put a 98 silverado 3/4 ton booster and master cylinder on my 71 brake pedal ass. There will be a firewall between the two when installed. Has anyone done this and if so will this work with the original proportioning valve.

Re: Had a little time on my hands
My truck had a booster and master out of a 85 caprice when i bought it, kinda like how it fits right close to the firewall, also had the 305(laying in a snowbank at the farm now) and 700r4, guy before musta had a wrecked one.

Re: Had a little time on my hands
I know a guy here in Ft Worth that put a 92 model booster/ master cylinder, and proportioning valve on his 72. He said he had to drill two holes and merge the pushrod between the 72 pedal and the 92 booster by welding.

Re: Had a little time on my hands
Thats what i did, drilled two holes and welded the rods together. Just wondering if it would work with the stock proportioning valve?
I also like the way it will sit right up against the firewall.
