Short Step Gas Tank Mods.
I found a 74 Blazer tank to install on my 69 short step coil spring truck. The tank will hang out back of frame 3".It will work same as the lwb but you have to cut the brace on the box where the wire loom hangs.Does any one know of a little smaller tank?Any one looked at an S-10 tank?

As far as I know, s10 tanks are saddle tanks and will not fit. Try an older camaro, chevelle or van.I had to haunt local salvage yards with the dimensions in hand for two weeks until I found one. Nobody could tell me what it was,but those were the best guesses. It only holds 12 gallons, but the old truck gets good gas mileage,so it is not too bad. If you need more info or pics form my tank, let me know.

Actually, S-10 tanks fit inside the frame rails ...but not in our trucks, the d@mn things are wider than our cassis.
