What's the best way to lower a '68 chevy truck?

What is The most affordable, and the cheapest way to lower the truck?

Can lowering springs do the job?

And what are the differences in the rides of each way of lowering the truck.

Coil springs would be the cheapest, depends how low you want to go. I would suggest spindels/ springs for the front dropped springs in the rear .

you could heat the springs. i lowered mine 4" all 4 corners by heating the springs. then i went to the local auto zone and purchased shocks that were 4" shorte than the stock ones. my truck rides good. if you go that route find someone who has done it before. and use jack stands to get the measurements consistent all the way around.

Blocks is the rear and cut one coil out of the front springs is the cheap way to do it.

The best way would be spindles on the front and lowering springs on the rear.

I WAS THINKING OF THE SAME WAY, SPINDLES ON THE FRONT AND LOWERING SPRINGS ON THE BACK.

WAS LOOKING AT A NEW CONTROL ARM BUT IT'S PRETTY HIGH.

AND MAN I KNOW LOTS OF PEOPLE THAT HEATS THE SPRINGS, I WOULD NOT DO IT AT ALL. IT LEADS TO OTHER PROBLEMS THAT I REALLY DON'T NEED.

THANKS GUYS,

if you get the '71 front spindles you can get front discs, too... that's what I'm planning to do...

Well, cheapest and best aren't the same.

Here is the cheapest:

Drop spindles are probably the best for 2WD. Coils for 4WD.
