Radiator Hose

I posted a thread about a stuck thermostat a week or so ago. Well I got that fixed and then after I got over a nasty cold and flu bug I went out to "burp the radiator". That took about an hour. After it belched its green coolant I shut t down let it sit for 30 - 45 mins, put on the 13 pound cap and fired it up. I let it run for about 15-20 mins and then I checked the upper and lower hoses. The were warm but very tight. I dont recall the hoses being tight before. Is this normal?

Thanks
