Re: Here's what Santa left in my driveway

My congratulations to Dustin. That's a fine looking truck.

I do have one slightly off topic question. I need a new set of mirrors. Are those on the truck stock or aftermarket?

Re: Here's what Santa left in my driveway

Thanks for all the compliments, as far as any adoptions I have a hard time sharing my toys the way it is, I was almost hoping he woudnt like it so I could keep it for myself.

This truck had a big block, 4" lift and 35" tires till about 2 years ago and the owner decided to down size a little. The truck now has a 2" lift 33" baja tires, 350 GM crate motor, 4 speed and 3.73 gears.
It has drum front brakes and the wheel cylinders are leaking so its time to go to disc brakes.

The truck has had the same owner for the past 10 years, he just wanted something newer for a change, even with the changes I 've made to it I have less than 3 grand in it so I dont think I got hurt too bad.

Re: Here's what Santa left in my driveway

That's waaay cool,,,

The list of things my old man has given me over that last 40 or so years are both generous and long, but that's a really nice one.

You sir are a great dad!!! Drive with pride Dustin.

My oldest is 12 and I hope I'll be financially able to do something like that for her.

BTW,,, Was it a surprise or did he know you were building one for him?

Very nice truck. Of course for safety sake you need to get some rear fenders with marker lights and sell the '67 ones to me.............Z

I dont know how he got into wearing tie-die shirts but its about all he wears, he finds them on Ebay.
His taste in music is different than most kids his age, his favorites are The Doors, Stones, Lynerd Skynerd, Conway Twitty, Meryl Haggerd and David Allen Coe.

zoomy, Thats one of the first things I noticed, I think I'll keep em, they kinda match the truck.
