You spent close to $75,000 or $23,000? Not sure which you were referring to.

I don't see 75,000 there for sure.. It is a nice restoration with a set of 20's....

I guess it depends on how much an hour for the labor that some else charges for you to build it.

....yes it did require some of the services of a restoration shop..I don't have my own lift, paint booth, etc. BUT I DID NOT!! just hand off a old truck and tell him"I want this, this, and this done"..I was there welding, scrapeing, sanding, and fabricating parts right up untill my skills ran out!! I don't claim painting as one of my skills...
and my WIFE was right there with me getting just as dirty as me.(tough girl) we worked together and it was very rewarding....and still is .

Yep. I could build that for waaaaaaaay less. He must have had every bit of it farmed out if the quote is true (and got ripped). I wonder how much a big window would have changed the value? Never know at that level.

Re: High Dollar '65

Overall it's pretty nice but there are a few things I'd change right away. I doubt it will bring any more than .40 ~ .50 on the dollar of his investment.

I'd take it for the right price if I had that kind of $$. My first vehicle was a 64 & I sure wouldn't mind having another one (short fleet).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
