Help on my new Diamond Headlights

Got these for Christmas and they didn't come with any directions. Anybody use these before and can help on the install?

3 wires, high, low and common. Now comes the fun part - which is which?

Is there a part number anywhere on them?

Sorry Bryan, mine had an H4 lamp. Take them to a parts srore and see if they'll interchange so you can keep your stock plug.

Re: Help on my new Diamond Headlights

looks like my h4 setup minus the bulb. Looks to me that you just need to buy the h4 bulb of your choice and put it in. The h4 plug will plug directly into your existing sockets. That wire should come unhooked from the end that does not have the screw and hinge up. That plastic piece should come out and the bulb should go in there. rehook the wire and put the rubber boot on to protect it. (not sure what these guys are talking about, i only see 3 pics and they are all of the housing, don't see any wires.)
I can get pics later tonight if you need them
Hope this helps

Re: Help on my new Diamond Headlights

Yes, pics would be great. My mother-in-law got them from southern kentucky classics and they were for the 67-72 conversion. I've contacted them by email , but I'll call them and try to see if they can send me some info on them.

Re: Help on my new Diamond Headlights

chevyguy_72 said it correctly you have the wrong bulbs installed in the headlights, you need the H4 halogen bulbs installed in place of the ones currently in it and then your harness will plug right in.

Re: Help on my new Diamond Headlights

Again : from the pictures I see ; in Pic #2 the back of the light ,looks like you have to remove the spring clip and the white plastic and replace it with a 55/65 H4 bulb and install to your stock wiring .
That is how mine worked , I just didn't have the plastic retainer .

Make sure you use a 65/55 watt bulb , if you want to go higher you should install one of the HL wiring upgrades .

Good Luck

Re: Help on my new Diamond Headlights

I have done the Headlight Relay Install. Will that enable me to use a bulb with more wattage?

The upgrade will increase voltage to the bulbs which will make the stock wattage bulbs brighter , if you used one of the wiring kits Most allow you to use 100 watt bulbs .

Re: Help on my new Diamond Headlights

Bill, I just used the relay and my own wiring to do the upgrade. I'll see what kind of H4 bulbs they have at my local Advance.

Hey Keith-I checked out the air filter assembly-WOW it's sweet but I don't think it's $191 WOW. Maybe I can find it somewherelse cheaper.
