Stuff!!!

My new job has me on the road alot in and between small towns here in West Texas. I can't believe how many of our trucks I've seen. Just in the last week I've seen at least 20-30 trucks sitting behind houses or in fields. Some of the most interesting to me were a 69-72 GMC SWB Fleet with leaf springs, a 69-70 3 door Burb, and a small window cab. I love my new job! Can't wait to see what I'll find this week.

Hey Purs, here's a tip for you, and you may already do it, but I always make a note of the highway I'm on, and the nearest mile marker, then if I want to go back later to check on something, it's easier to find. I've done that for a couple of friends that I knew were looking for something, and they went to the location, found it and bought it. Just an idea to share.

Damn yankee buckeye LOL!!!

Actually these trucks are everywhere and right next to them is a bare spot in the ground where the Chevelle and Camaros used to sit.

I got souther blood in me. And I spent the worst part of a decade in TX, so i can talk bad about y'all all I want! (to all the northern folk who have never been south...when you talk to a Texan, you have to say y'all or they won't understand a thing you say. )
I hear you bout the other classic iron, they are getting scarce down there...that's becouse all us smart yankees go down there and buy them up, then import them to the rust belt. heh heh heh

Just FYI, all 67-72 Burbs have 3 doors. I had a great time driving through the backroads in Texas, it just isnt the best place to search for any interior parts you might need :P

LOL, I just realized how "country" my family is then.
Mom's name is Carolyn Sue, Dads name is Larry Ray, Uncles name is Jimmy Ray and so on.... (grew up in Altus, OK)

Ya alot of these little gold mines can be had for free. I just drive up to the house and mention I've noticed it just sitting out there.... Do YA'LL want me to haul it away for ya? Sometimes it works, sometimes not but I made a pretty good living at rebuilding/selling dirt bikes that way.
