V8 Mounting

I'm wanting to change the way the engine mounts to the cross member. Has anyone used either of these custom mount setups? Was there any surprises? Did the location of the engine stay the same, i.e. height, forward or backward on the frame? These mount kits are from "North West Autofab" and look like the way to go. Oh, I have a sbc in my truck.

Re: V8 Mounting

check out performance online for another style of mount, they have some tubular mounts that apply to these trucks.

Re: V8 Mounting

I like the look of those tube mount kits. Does the engine stay in the stock position? That's my concern on any of these type of mounts. Also can the stock rad. shroud still be used?

Re: V8 Mounting

The reason I ask about the shroud, is if the engine is raised any, the fan blade will hit the shroud. That's why I was needing to know if the engine is raised up any, or forward from the stock mounting position, by using these new mounts......
