Re: how to grease door??

Grease around the hinges and pins. I like to use white lithium grease but some penetrating oil or WD-40 will work too.

Re: how to grease door??

I use white lithium as well on all moving parts. I usually clean them before applying the lube. I need to do the door locks and latches.

Re: how to grease door??

I tried putting grease on the two little "roller wheels" but it's hard to get it in there. How do you get the grease on there? How do you get it on the hinges itself??

Re: how to grease door??

Just soak the hinges in grease, the lil pins and anywhere the hinge moves. Then clean up the mess.

Thats what I do at least....

I use electronics parts cleaner to remove the old dirt and grease because it wont hurt the paint, then I use the white lithium grease that comes in a spray can. It gets into everything and does a great job.

Re: how to grease door??

A wet graphite lube is the best and will outlast sticky lithium. Thats my weapon of choice.

SSC776 -
Is that the lube that goes on wet and then ends up dry?... something like 'Lock-eze'? What is your weapon of choice and where can find it? I'm willing to try something new. - Thanks.
