Bed Measurements

I need the measurement for the tailgate opening for a 72' C-10 fleet side. I have the GMC assembly manual but there are no specs to show the clearances for the gate. I want to determine the proper width prior to final assembly and welding. I would appreciate some help in getting that measurement........txs......bossrod

Re: Bed Measurements

I would reccomend getting the gate you plan on using and align it to fit the opening in the box. There can be a fair bit of movement that could make the gate look and fit horrible if not fit before welding. Get the fit right. Then do you 2 tacks on top of the rear sill to box side.

I would perfer not to give you the measurement that way the gate fit correctly. Hope that's not a Prick thing to say...
