1984 Chevy C-10 2WD Installing New Suspension Advise

Hello,

I would like to do some work on my suspension. I don't think its ever been replaced. The drive is very bouncy... and I would love to fix that. I am not looking to do a lift or drop to the truck... I just want it to drive smooth. How do I go about doing this? and what economical products should I purchase? I am just a guy that has an 84 chevy as a daily driver... not looking for performance parts.... or cosmetic upgrades.... I just want the shocks to work when driving over bumps.... it needs to absorb it, so I don't feel it.... not fall into the bumps and make the truck bounce up and down....lifting and dropping..... it bounces bad.

I've got an 85. If you don't have a front sway bar, I would recommend it, helps alot with cornering. I just replaced upper and lower ca bushings, and ball joints which helped mostly with handling over bumps.

You need to inspect the suspension and look for broken or worn components. Like hotrodhomi so eloquently stated you probably need new shocks, and possibly need more.
