okay well was noticing today that my driver park light and the park light on the driver front fender don't work change dthe bulbs nothing turn singals works i did notice that when you turn the headlights on that the left turn signal in the dash lights up meaning i got an short to ground somewhere what is the best place to look all other park lights and and all turn lights work just the 2 park lights on the driver front don't thanks in advance

nope i check the bulbs and installed new ones used a test light and there is no power at the sockets when the park lights are on

You got a ground problem. One of your parking lights in bumper is not grounded good.

Lost your ground and its back feeding though your signal indicator.Clean your bulb connections and socket mountings.

went out this moring removed the park light in the bumper sanded it down till it was shiny metal i also sanded the bumper where the light touches still no luck the light on the fender and the one in the bumper still down work (drivers front yet i got turn signals so ttt any other ideas?

if the turn signal works, then the ground is OK. It takes more amps to run the turn signal than the parking light. So the bad ground thing is 99% likely to NOT be the problem. (talking the parking lamp, not the side marker)
I do suspect the problem is related. I would first double check the bulbs again.... just swap them both left for right... just to make sure. Then, after that, i'd start looking in the harness. Esp where the side marker and the parking light go into the harness together... I'm kinda expecting you to find a problem right there.

i switched the bulbs and still didn't work i cut the wires where they came together and recrimped them together still nothing on the park lights didd all that the other day

Have you checked that wire with a test light? Keep going north from the light assembly untill you find power, then back track untill you don't have power... then you should hopefully be able to see the problem by then and repair it.

I had the same problem with the original park/turn signal on the driver's side. It appears that there were two problems.

1) The spring loaded base became rusted and corroded. This was keeping the lamp bulb from being held tightly in the socket.

2) The lamp socket is pressed (swedged?) onto the bucket that mounts the lens/mounts the unit to the bumper. This lampsocket wasn't loose as far as I could tell, but I take it that corrosion compromised the ground between the socket and bucket.

I replaced the park/turn signal assembly with a new repop unit. That lasted 2 years then the same problem(insert expletive here).

The solution this time was to use a turn signal/ stop light socket from a 71 Malibu. This type has a seperate ground wire and the complete socket twists into the bucket.

I had to remove the old socket and then carefully cut the resulting opening out with a dremel to make the Malibu socket fit the truck. I attached the ground wire to one of the mounting screws that hold the assembly to the bumper.

That seems to have fixed the problem. An Added bonus is that now I don't have to remove the lens to get the lamp bulb out. It justs twists and remove from the rear of the assembly.
