71 body on a 98 and newer frame

I am interested in conerting my truck to a newer LS1 and tranny combo. I began to thin about buying a complete wrecked truck and placing my 71 LWB body onto the frame of a 98 and newer truck. I would most likely go 4x4 if this were to happen. Has anyone else done this? Any comments would be appreciated.

I have had several PM's lately about doing this. It needs to go to 4x4 stuff.

Its been done but not sure about how hard or what all has to be done. I think it would be a cool idea for a driver. Maybe not if you are gonna wheel it a lot.

That bronze or burnt orange crewcab out of a Suburban has been done and is nice. Not sure where the biggest challenge was,the body customizing or the retro-fit.I,m thinking retro-fit.I`ve thought about the opposite:take an`87-earlier and putting an`88-up body on it.
