where to order some new guages?
for my 72 im gonna go with a 5" speedo, 3 3/4" tach and one of those 4 in 1 5" guages that have the oil, volt, gas, temp guages. i dont think autometer offers the 4 in 1 deal, ive seen a few hot rod places that offer stuff like this though. im just gonna go with the 3 hole guage bezel, i think it looks a bit cleaner and ive got a billet glovebox door insert and i just found out that they make billet dash bezel inserts for the 3 guage bezels as well so i think this is the route im gonna take.
so anyone know any shops or websites i should check out to find some guages like this? oh and lastly, are 5", 3.75", 5" the correct measurements for the 3 hole dash? i rounded all the #s up, it was more like 4.85" and 3.65". thanks |

Classic Instruments has what you're looking for. The 5" speedo and 5" combo gauge is around $500 including sending units, mounting hardware, etc. They seem to be nice people.

so the other option is to just buy a restored orig tach dash setup for $450. but then again for $200 more i get something cool and custom... ill push this part of the project down the road a bit so i have more time to make up my mind. |
