swapping in a T-350 in a 90 Burb 4x4

I currently have a 90 Burb 1500 4x4. I want to swap in a T-350 and need to know what parts I need to do swap. It currently has a 700 R-4 w/ NP241 t-case. Will the 241 bolt up to the T-350. do I need a special adapter. Do I have to change the driveshafts? I also have an NP 208 w/ the t-350 adapter if the 241 doesn't work.

Check with your local transmission parts supply house. I used to buy a kit that had an output shaft and spacer that made it a bolt in. Why do you want to change to a 350? You will notice a drop in fuel economy and for everything up to medium duty work the 700 will work great.

I actually found a kit from advance adapters for $204 which includes the new tailshaft, adapter, kickdown cable and dust cover for torue converter. This kit works w/o any drive line changes. Thanks for the info.

Depends on the length of the output on the TH350 and possibly the adapter.

A 208 and 241 is a direct swap.

For 81-82, a TH350/NP208 was a stock offering. So a TH350/241 is very do-able with stock parts.
