yet another ??
hello all,got tranny back in i been working on but my question is,what is the secret to getting the #2000lb ,lop sided,np203 transfer case back in??? or is there an easy way,,,me and another guy have manged to wrestle it from one end of truck to the other and killed ourself but it still ain't up where it belong's..just thought maybe someone had some tricks to doing it...thanks again

I used an engine hoist thorough the drivers door and got the transfer case under my 69 K20 and then used the hoist to raise it up by lowering a chain with the hoist thorough the tranny hump - worked pretty good - a one person job.

Blocked mine up on a 6 wheeled heavy duty creeper and rolled it into place with no sweat took more time to get it where I wanted it on the creeper than actually putting up to the mounting surface hope this helps Mike

transmission jack works for me or remove the trans tunnel and pull it up with a engine hoist
