1968 Progress Pictures
Here's the progress pictures of my truck. So far so good. We are hoping it will be "almost" completely done by June. They are never done.

Re: 1968 Progress Pictures
Is that an "aftermarket" front clip? If so, who was the supplier/manufacturer and are you happy with the "fit". Thanks. Cab looks great. Is that candy apple red?

Re: 1968 Progress Pictures
Good eye on the paint color. It is Candy Apple Red. I have had this truck since I was 7 years old and now I will be 27 next month and I have always wanted this color. The new front fenders are made by Dynacorn, the new radiator support, and the bottom driver side door sheet metal are sold by MotherTruckers. I bought the goodmark cowl induction hood a few years ago from a local vendor. I am very please with the front fenders but the cowl hood is gonna need some work to fit properly. Ed, at MotherTruckers, is a good guy to do business with. Many of the floor sheet metal and other misc. parts I purchased from GMC Paul's. He's another good guy to do business with. My front grill is going to be repaired. So everything is coming together. I hope to get the body back in the next month and the 396, which was bored out .060 making it a 408, will be installed along with a Mad Dog 700r4 Transmission from Mad Dog Transmissions will also be installed. I'll keep all of you updated since I have been coming to this board for information and parts for almost 5 years. Thanks to all of you for the great information and support!!

Re: 1968 Progress Pictures
Let us know how the MAD DOG tranny works for you, I have been mulling over buying a tranny from him and his prices are good too. Randy

I love that color!!! Please keep us updated on everything, including the tranny, I've been thinking about picking up a 700R4 from him too.

Re: 1968 Progress Pictures
Lookin good!! I'll second the fact that Ed @ Mothertruckers is a great guy to deal with. He was really helpful on the phone and I got my rear bumper, brackets and license frame from him shipped in one day. I'll be seriously considering having him paint my truck when I get ready to have that done.
