power steering for a 62 gmc???

i've got a complete power steering unit i think, pump, pulleys, steering box, but don't really know if they are any good or not, got them about 6yrs ago with a 63 i purchased, is there anyway to check them out without hooking all of it up, and what would all new stuff run ? anybody have an idea? i would rather go with new if not an arm and a leg.

Re: power steering for a 62 gmc???

corvettes used a simular set-up ,try e-bay for parts. My 1973 ford van had the ram set-up and it wasn't a bad system people just don't like them because most old ones leak pretty good but old p/s boxes usually need seals too.
