Has anyone here ever replaced the visor mounts on their truck? Is there a trick to remove the clip holding the spring on the visor arm? Thanks!

I think it is pressed on at the factory. I usually just pull the rod assembly out and replace the whole thing.

Isn't the rod attached to the fibre board?? I tried to pull, but it didn't want to come out & I was afraid I'd tear up the visor. Will it pull out with a little force? Thanks!

If you spray along the shaft so that penetrating fluid will flow inside, you can usually pull the shafts out with a back and forth twisting motion. The sleeve that the shaft holds the visor on keeps it in place by friction only, (there are no clips or retainers).

I have not had any that the shaft could not be removed after it was soaked down.

I took 70c10's advise & tried pulling the rod . . . it came right out with some twisting - Thanks!
