My old 66

I sold this a while back thought I would share a photo. It was a 66 on a later model frame. It had a Dana 44 front and a 12 bolt rear with 3.73 gears. It had a late model 305 and a TH350 transmission. The tires in this photo are 35x15.50 swampers. It was a good old truck that my wife and I enjoyed. However its sale helped fund the next one I bought.

That's a neat old stepside, if the truck in your avitar is what repalced it you shouldn't have many regrets though.

It was a cool old truck to cruise around in. The truck in the avatar we have owned for about 8 or 9 years. But this is what I replaced it with. We got it from a guy in NC who had owned it for 27 years. It had been kept in a garage for the last 20 years. We looked at a lot of trucks and did a lot of driving before we bought this one. I sold two trucks plus saved a chunk to buy this one.

I still have the one in the avatar too.

Those are soooo nice! Man I'd love to have a '67-'72 slammed swb, in my opinion they are the best looking pickups ever made.

Re: My old 66

Thanks, The 66 had no lift, it just had to do with how the old body was put on the newer chassis. The 72 has a 4" lift.
