finally the cab is back on

Finally put the final paint on the firewall, floor pans and other inside cab areas last wekend. It was my granddaughter’s birthday yesterday so I had enough guys to help me lift up the cab and set it back on the frame

Im happy how paint came out for my first attempt, thanks to maritnsr, sevt_chevelle and others for the paint and body help

LOL last year I bought some blue that I thought I would like.....but I didn’t...so I painted my lawn tractor with it. The color I ended up with is a GM Cobalt Blue/non metallic SS. I would have liked a metallic color but I didn’t want to take a chance being my first attempt at painting

The color is a lot darker then in the pictures or at least they look lighter on my moniter.

Maybe the color will change again....I was just tired of staring at the cab on a dolly and wanted it back on the frame so I can get these freaking think moving. Still need a lot of work on modifying the doors and to tell you the truth I’m not all that thrilled with the window pillar profile up top. But if I keep focusing on the negative I will never get this thing done or get so frustrated the cab will end up in the garbage....I think I need to be medicated a little more.

Re: finally the cab is back on

thanks guys
The color is GM Cobalt Blue 25U, only the fire wall and floor pans are painted everything else is blue tinted primer, its hard to tell in the picture the primer is a shade darker blue.

The lawn mower painting turn out to be a good idea to practice spraying the top coat, I even put some deliberate runs in it to get a feel when I was laying on too thick. That’s the last time you will see that mower in the back ground the motor blew up last Thursday LOL

@76Bonaza
The header...hmmmmm to be honest I cant remember if their hedmans or what, thats what happens as you get older LOL if you PM me to remind me I will try to find it for you. I posted some pics when I installed them and the exhaust maybe you can find with a search. However I did have to mod the frame to make them fit.
