Kickdown cable????

I got the swap done from my 3 speed to a th350 and all works good. The only thing I cant figure out is what kind of bracket do I need for my edelbrock 1406 to hook up the kickdown cable to the carb. Does anyone have a picture of edelbrock carb with the kickdown cable connected to it. Also at about 50 mph my truck vibrates, could it possible be that the drive shaft is not balanced. I noticed the vibration after I had my carrier bearing replaced a while back. It could have been vibrating before the carrier bearing was shot and I probably couldnt feel it but Im not sure.... Thanks.......

Re: Kickdown cable????

edelbrock makes the bracket specifically for use with thier manifold/carb application or you can get a gm unit and modify it to fit // get driveshaft balanced when installing carrier bearing it could have been assembled out of phase causing the vibration

Re: Kickdown cable????

My kickdown cable bolts to the intake much like Prem's, but mine is a stock manifold. I cut the carb linkage bracket in half and bolted the carb bracket to my 1406 carb. It's easy-peasy, the carb linkage bracket has a tab bent down to keep it from rotating around the carb stud.

Re: Kickdown cable????

I don't have a good picture of the one I got but you can kind of see it below.

ALL kick-down cables are the same for the th350.

When I changed from a 3-speed to th350 I had a 2bbl on my engine. I used a bracket off a 1971 Monte Carlo with a 350 and 2bbl carb.

When I put the 1406 in the picture on my new engine I bought the gold color Edelbrock universal bracket because I didn't have a stock 4bbl one laying around.
