Spare tire carrier ???

Anybody ever seen a stand up style spare tire carrier that fits in the right front side of a fleet bed? Wondering if this is factory or add on.

Re: Spare tire carrier ???

I've got one on each side of my 72 LWB fleet. The one on the drivers side looks factory, the one on the passenger side looks home made.

Re: Spare tire carrier ???

That type of tire carrier was all I ever saw growing up, when those trucks were new. Pretty much the standard issue in western canada I think back then.

Re: Spare tire carrier ???

I wanted an in-bed tire carrier for my old '65, and looked at what NAPA had in a catalog, at the time (25 years ago). I was going to mount mine in the middle of the bed, behind the cab....but, that was me in my younger days and not wanting to conform.
