How will 6 cyl springs behave w/ a big block?

Right now I'm doing the ECE disc brake/ 2 1/2 drop conversion. My truck has the original 6 cyl coil springs and I need to know how well they will support my new 454. I would like to replace them if necessary while the front suspension is apart. How will it handle? Will I end up with a seriously raked stance? I am also doing the ECE 4in drop rear leaf springs. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I have a set of BB springs that would set it to stock heigth minus your spindle drop.

That's a lot of weight to put on a set of 30 year old springs. Replace them.

It wont handle that good. Those spring were not designed to handle that much weight. Do it right and buy big block springs!

JRB I'm interested in your BB springs. I'm new to this forum so do I need to PM you for this? How do I pay you? I really appreciate the help.

Don't use the brackets. Just bolt the bushings to the frame!

I'd really like to see a pic of how your truck sets when do. were thinking about buying ECE spindels for my kids truck and get rid of just the drop springs.
