We May Be In Luck

Gary,
I have a friend in Louisiana who just bought some buckets from CA. I THINK he said he was going to put new covers on them. Let me check with him and see what his plans are. I will let you know as soon as I can. Take care, Mike

I've Actually Seen Them

Believe it or not, I saw the EXACT seats in a friends garage in Napa Valley, CA while I was on the West coast this summer. He drove up to NorCal and picked them up for Tommy in Lousiana and shipped them to him. The last I heard from Tommy, the seats were lost in the Katrina UPS shuffle. I am waiting for Tommy to get back to me. The seats seemed to be kind of a light tan to ME. I don't know if they are the color you need, but we will see what happens. I got the pictures of the doors. They look like they would work out great for me. Maybe we could work out some kind of a deal on a set of NEW seat covers in trade for the doors. Just something to keep in mind if THIS deal doesn't materialize with Tommy. I will contact you when I hear anything. Take care, Mike

Re: Looking for bucket seat covers

YES...the '67-'68 Chev/GMC are different than a '69-72. Forget about the set 409 is talking about...they are going into my big block '68 50th Anniversary Longhorn...LOL!

Frank...'68 GMC...pretty much like '68 Chev but maybe the vinyl pattern is a little different. Did I see you post $200 for covers and do I get a frequent customer discount?

Re: Looking for bucket seat covers

I think he is looking for '70 GMC bucket covers. I could get him a new set for under $200 (even though they just had two price increases). I am still holding the old prices.
'68 style (3 seats) runs a little more.

Re: Looking for bucket seat covers

I think the GMC and blazer are the same. But if I buy new ones the color wont match my back seat. I dont think they make the 69 an 70 scroll patern for the back seat. Their is nothing wrong with my back seat

Can you post a pic of your good front seat so we know which pattern you have?

Re: Looking for bucket seat covers

Gary,
That sure looks like the seats that Tommy has. Maybe I could buy HIM a couple new ones and I could get the old ones for you. Just a thought if you can't find one. Keep me in mind and maybe we can do a swap for those doors. I will run it by him. If you can, send me those pictures in an E-mail, and I will forward them to him, and he can let me know if he would like to work something out. Thanks, Mike hotrodmtodd@hotmail.com
