Bed to Cab distance? ANYONE? I need a measurement!
Guys I took the plunge and I'm making my Long bed a short bed, well everything is going well, I cut out what I was supposed to I just want to know if someone could give me some measurements on the distance between the cab and bed. I think it may be the easiest to measure from under the back window as close to the side as possible, opposed to the bed side. Hope this makes sense, just want to double check this dimension before it's fully welded. Thanks!

Did you measure the cab to bed distance BEFORE you took the long bed off? They would be the same...

OK We have the tendency to tear apart long before we read the instructions.
I have two trucks in my garage and they both measure at 1 3/16" at the end of the bed side to the back of the cab. The front panel is inset just a little and it is another 1/8th inch/strong from the cab. Good Luck |

I set mine to 1 1/4" when I did it. The wheelbase came out perfect at 117.5" as well. I was shooting for the right gap at the bed, the wheelbase was just extra...
