What's it worth fixed up? - 72 GMC 3/4 ton LWB 4x4

I'm thinking about fixing up my 72 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 and then selling it. What would one of these be worth assuming it was fixed up. I'd repair all of the rust, replace the inner fenders, new front fenders, new paint, freshen the engine, new interior and basically anything else you'd expect in a good daily driver.

I know it's a pretty open question, any guesses as what one would be worth in that case?

Ron

In Texas the truck could bring anywhere from 3000-6000 depending on paint quality. But we do not have naywhere near the rust issues you guys up in Canada have. So.....

The truck would have ps, pb, 350, th400 and NP205 (none of which are original) No air, dana 60 posi rear, dana 44 front. Not lifted, new wood bed floor, new stock tires, new dual exhaust. No after market stuff. Original rear window slider, I'm reaching now, what else matters?

As for color, don't know, it's green now, I won't repaint it green, resale red? Black would be my preference.

"fixed up" trucks are generally worth about half of what you spend on them

Watch the "completed listings" on ebay. Look for pickups with similar strengths and faults. You can even limit the scope to vehicles with-in so many miles of your town. While you are "fixing up" you truck watch to see if you are making mods that people pay more for. BTW Running is a mod that people will gladly pay for.

I know it's not a number, but your truck will be worth what you get out of it. Just prepare yourself by watching what others are getting out of theirs.

I would expect that a painted running truck with some of the options you listed would range from $4000 - $6000 in So. Colorado.
