Thank You 72addict

Thanks 72addict for understanding my need to renege on the NOS Burb door sale. He seems to be a real great guy. Have not meet him personally but I was going to go to his house on Saturday this week and buy a NOS Burb door but I found a truck today and spent the money I had planned for the door plus some. And he was more than understanding.
Yep I bought a rare one today. I think they only made 600 or less of them. Its a 1970 CST 402BB Short Stepside 1/2 ton. I found it in a guys garage that was doing some welding for me. I had on my 67-72 T-Shirt and he said that he had and old 70 sitting in his back garage that he was thinking of selling. Low and behold I fell all over my self when he told me what it was. I need’s work but he has all the parts to redo the whole truck. Right down to the new wood for the bed. So I am going there tonight and drive this baby home. It has the factory tack, bucket seats with the console & tilt. The only thing that is the really wrong is the fact that it has a 67 Cab with 67 doors’ on it. But I needed a 67 cab and have a 69 at home so all will turn out good on that. The truck was in his yard right after he bought it 12 years ago and a tree fell on it. He has the old cab (totaled out but the correct VIN is still there)

looks like you found a score, see, this board is just a big happy family, except maybe when we get alittle rowdy. How much did debt did you go into??? J/K, but hurry and post some pics if possible and keep us posted on the progress.
And even though I had nothing to do with the deal, thanks 72addict. Because if you didn't Protrucks might have felt guilty and had to pull out on the deal, then there would be 1 less of our trucks dominating the street.

Jess, don't you have enough projects???
Good score though, your right about not many being built, just the CST on a shrt step alone is rare, let alone with the 402.

Yes Andy I do have to many. You maybe seeing the 71 Burb going up for sale here soon. I think someone locally may want it, if I do decide sell it.
I think I have got the sickness that’s been going around the board. I just could not leave that rare truck to get sold to someone that had no idea what it was and one more may have been gone.

I agree, you gotta hide the good ones from the farmers...let them have all the 73 - 87s...those ugly things are a dime a dozen and booooooring anyways.
Even worse, someone might have done this to it...

That truck is cool and homely at the same time. Protrucks, I just put that sweet flatbed of yours on my wallpaper again. I still think it's one of the nicest I have ever seen. Please keep us posted with pics of your newest jewel.

Thanks dubie
The 70 I just got is mix match bag of parts, but yet I got most of the original stuff that came off the truck. Not quite sure what the guy was thinking. He has a 1967 Cab and stepside bed on the truck. Most of the original bed is off the truck and came with the truck (why did he take it off?) The 67 cab is one of the nicest ones I have seen and is solid except for the wood. The center console is cracked. Looks like some one got drunk and used it for a third seat. The cab has the original 67 doors on it and the original 70 doors came with the truck.
