Re: Realistic gas mileage

My 77 with a 350 / TH350 / 3.73 combo is netting about 14 mpg right now. Any higher than 60 mph and that number falls rather rapidly, lol

700r4 is going in this weekend

I too have a 4x4. When it was a three speed manual my average was 10. 13 on the highway with a tail wind but 10 overall.

I swapped it to a th350. Now it gets 9.5. Better than 12 on the highway but still 9.5 overall.

Re: Realistic gas mileage

With 700R4 and 3.08 gears I got about 11 mpg. Put in 3.73 gears getting about 12.5 mpg in 71 gmc swb 2 wheel drive.

Re: Realistic gas mileage

With a stock 454, Th400 and 3.08 gears I get 9-12 in the city if I don't hit the funny pedal too much. Highway 12-15 from Miami to Orlando, 220miles, again no funny pedal...
