no more prop rod !
Well, finally got all the angles figured out on the gas struts for my hood, and got rid of that ugly wooden prop rod I was using. After the purchase of the hinges and struts, it took about $15.00 and 6 drilled holes to finish the installation.

How did you mount the hinges to the hood. Did you weld a piece to the hood and bolt through the sasche's into that. Any help would be great.

That rig makes me happy in the pants. You've truly got a masterpiece. I'd have been pretty scared to start drilling those holes in it. Did you use masking tape so the bit didn't walk on you?
