EBAY SCORE! Stepside tailgate
Haven't seen any nice stepside tailgates come on the board, so I've been checkin ebay the last month or so and I finally got one! Someone sure had a high maximum bid, I had to go from 55 bucks to 108
I just picked up this tailgate on ebay. I emailed the seller and he assured me that the "dent's" are nothing more than light reflections. Shipping will be 35 bucks.... not bad, an OEM tailgate for $150 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1

Re: EBAY SCORE! Stepside tailgate
Looks like rust bubbles, which is pretty common on the stepper tailgates where the rolled top and bottom middle the flat in the middle. Also looks a bit like it has snaps for a tonneau cover or something. Still not a bad find though, looks cool!

Re: EBAY SCORE! Stepside tailgate
I emailed the seller about that, he said its nothing more than reflections. No rust, no dents. I'll see for sure when I get it. And yeah, he stated in the acution it has tonneau snaps on it.

Flash pictures of gloss black paint show every imperfection even if they are not noticable with the naked eye. You can see the flash in between the E and the R.

Re: EBAY SCORE! Stepside tailgate
LMC lists an OEM tailgate at $399... so at chevy, who knows? The repops sell for anywhere between $200-$300, but everyone complains they are thin and suck. With shipping I ended up paying $130. If it's not what the seller says it it, I'll put it back on ebay, chalk it up as "lesson learned" and buy a repop. It should resell there were lots of bids on it (with a better description of course) but for now I'll give the seller the benefit
