Re: Looking for GMC grill pictures

68gmcdually... is that a 71/72 grill on your 68?
I've always thought something looked out of place on the nose of your rig, and I couldn't put my finger on it till now. That's a 71/72 grill with the black paint removed and the 68 surround trim.

WELL, maybe it is. It originally had a '67 grille in it when I bought it, the quote to rechrome it was astronomical. So we where at Hershey PA that fall and I found a grille that was rechromed from a company called Bumper Boyz, they assured me that it was the right one and I paid my money and brought it home. Installed it, drove it to the wedding, parked the truck in the driveway and went on my 13 day honeymoon. Came home and the grille had surface rust on it, and I waxed it the day I installed it. Oh well, as I said before, it might be the wrong grille as something is just not right with the front end, although it did match up with the '67 grille hole for hole.

Re: Looking for GMC grill pictures

Now that I see them together I think that I notice the biggest difference is around the headlight bezels, what else tips ya off, is the main crossbar thicker?
