converting from sm465 to trubo 400

I have a 72 gmc that im putting a turbo 400 in. It has a sm 465 in it right now. I bought all the adapters for the transfer case and input shaft and so on. What else do i have to do to the trans mount and transer case mounting?

thanks

If its the same as the turbo 350 everything should just line up using the same brackets and holes.

i think that the turbo 400 is a little longer. Can you just slide the crossmember back?

Yes you can, but may have to drill, unless you get lucky and some of the frame holes line up.

Don't weld it to the frame! What if you have to take it back out?
