Re: stock 72 grill

personally, 71/72 is the worst looking grill in all the 67 - 72 chevy and GMC grills.
And I will get flamed for saying that.

Re: stock 72 grill

Chevrolet did us all a favor, by having three different grille choices for us to pick from. I like the cleanliness of lines that the 67-68, and those front caps get swapped onto a lot of later model bodies. But, for '69, Chevy felt that the early design wasn't masculine enough (their words, not mine) so the leading edge of the hood was made more upright and a new grille designed. I'm guessing that the designers wanted to create a grille that was cheaper than the '68-69 grille, and so begat the '71-72. Lots of people prefer the egg-crate grille of the late models. So, we all have choices.

Re: stock 72 grill

I like the 71-72 grill but would prefer it in the 67-68 hood and fenders, can't do that without serious mods so I prefer the 71-72 over having the laid back hood so thats what I got.

Re: stock 72 grill

All and all, pretty cool that each version has it's own personality.

I used to have a favorite but now I'd be perfectly happy with any of 'em as long as the rest of the truck/blazer was attatched.

Re: stock 72 grill

I prefer the 67,68 grill. Didnt like the lights in the grill so I removed them & stayed with the 72 bumper. Wanted to leave a little of the 72 look on the front end.
