Gas tank Filler grommet

Do I need to remove the gas tank to change the filler neck grommet?

Thanks!

Re: Gas tank Filler grommet

It will make it easier. Do you already have the new grommet?

Re: Gas tank Filler grommet

Not yet, but I'll be getting the truck painted here in the next couple of weeks. Probably good to just pull the gas tank when I take it to paint here in the next couple of weeks...

Not to change the subject but do the fender emblems (the ones behind the front wheel) have nuts securing them to the fender? Probably need to remove the front inner wheel well to get at those I would imagine...

thanks.
