Who has the fuel inj 5.3 in their 67-72?
Okay, I remember seeing where someone had a 5.3 in their truck(in the process of putting it in) and has it running? It looks like some of the hang ups have been the AC compressor in the way of the frame. Have we worked through that? I found a deal on a 5.3 with 20K on it the other day for $1200. It would be sweet in my 68.

Looks like a nice project '68'
you can use the information on any LS1 based engine (LS1, LS2, LS6, LS7, 5.3, 6.0, 4.8, etc). |

davidh - Did the engine deal include the transmission, etc? If you don't buy, I will.

68 short step- i see that your truck(which looks good) has the 6 lugs on it, i also see that you have torque thrusts in the garage. Are those 6 lug torque thrusts? if so, whered you get them?

Re: Who has the fuel inj 5.3 in their 67-72?
Hey 68 SS -
Just curious, did you need to drill new holes in the frame to use that ECE crossmember? Did it slip easily into the framerails? Mine has been a bear! Was a pain to get into the framerails and the holes don't line up to any stock holes. Just curious what other people are looking at as far as usage goes...

Re: Who has the fuel inj 5.3 in their 67-72?
yes it lined uped to the existing frame holes, but its not a ECE its from performaceonline.com. fit was good , no drilling required, just grind off the old rivets for the manual x member, and install the new x member. i planned on drilling new holes, but didnt have to..... its a good product

Re: Who has the fuel inj 5.3 in their 67-72?
Wait - are you using the 4L60E or a similar auto tranny? The T56 is a bit longer, that would explain why it's not lining up for me.
That crossmember is literally the exact same design that ECE sells. I got mine powdercoated and shipped for like ... $129 I think?
