Re: now this is funny HAHAHAHAHA
Hmmmm JC Whitney....$12.00 each. They work, but like was said hopefully anyone willing to shell out that money will know they are not factory. They may have come off a 69, but JC Whitney was around then too.

In his defense.....and believe me I'm not defending him much, but those do look like the DEALER (Not Factory) but dealer installed hooks that came on my blazer.

Re: now this is funny HAHAHAHAHA
I have the same hooks on my truck and I got them from the wrecking yard. They cost me 4 bucks. If the hooks sell for $500, I will take a pic of my on the truck and sell them too.

Re: now this is funny HAHAHAHAHA
Somebody submitted an offer on them. It was declined. I wonder what the guy offered him. $10.

I wonder if that offer was mine. I offered $25 thinking that maybe the price was a mistake. I figured that had to be an error. Not that I needed them anyway!

After first reading this thread, I sent the guy a nasty email, he replied and then he edited the listing, still that amount of money for those is IMO,

Re: now this is funny HAHAHAHAHA
I have found this to be pretty interesting. I have a pair just like the ones he has listed that I removed from the front of a 67 chevy pickup. I always thought they didn't belong and sombody just put whatever they had on it but are they something that the dealer added? I would also like to know what publication the pictures came out of.

Re: now this is funny HAHAHAHAHA
Dealer installed, but generic. These are commonly called Jeep hooks.Dick Cepek sold them and about any other offroad or truck accessory supplier.Central Tractor and TSC have/had them, too. You could buy clips to keep the chain in when mounting on the bottom of the frame.
I always used to weld a 3/8" chain end hook to the truck for tugging. If the chain broke or you didn`t need all the length, you could just hook a link in it and pull.Worked better than those Jeep hooks.

Re: now this is funny HAHAHAHAHA
I bolted a pair of them on my ice fishing house about 15 years ago. I think I shelled out a whopping $10 at Champion Auto.
