I got some parts also from Teeitup recently - I "unriveted", disassembled and stripped everything down, wire wheeled (bench unit and hand held), cleaned with laquer thinner, then hit with primer and then rattle canned. Look good to me and they will be in places I'm not worried about tearing up the finish ('cept the crossmember - just no off roading!)
