? on my 2wd framerails
i have an 80 c-10 shortbox. a little while back someone made a mention of a bow in the drivers side frame for cat converter clearance.
does anyone have this same deal on their frame or not? the bow is located right near the rear of the cab on the bottom portion of the rail. ill try to get a clear pic tomorrow in the light. thanks steve |

If it had cats, it has the bend. Typically (outside of Cali) it was '76-up.

Here's a pic from a few years ago on mine. Seems like ages ago now. Man, I'm glad the cat or cats are now gone.

Re: ? on my 2wd framerails
yes the truck looks good. very minimal rust and the areas that do have rust are solid with just surface. originally this was a straight six with three on the tree. right now it is in the teardown stage and realistically this prokect will be done in 10 years.
i am starting this deal with my 7 year old nephew. i told him that if he wanted the truck when he turns 16 that he would have to help build it. swervin: looks like the same deal on mine. thanks swervin ervin for the pic. here is a pic of my other truck that my moms gave me when my dad passed away. 86 k-20 with a decent 350 and i am guessing would be a little bit of a lift over stock but do not know how much. |
