PIC's of 77

Just wanted to say hello and post a few photos of my 77. I'm the second owner and did a complete off frame restoration. The only original steel is the cab and tail gate, all replacement panels are O.E. G.M. Frame, suspension and engine block have been powder coated. Kept the original bench and recovered with leather.

Welcome to the board That truck looks great. Very clean and what I can strive for with mine. What are the specs on the engine/tranny/rear etc.?

Re: PIC's of 77

Brandon,
I've been lurking for some time and the people on this board have been very helpful with issues I've encountered. Engine is original 350 .030 over with mild cam, edelbrock manafold & carb, HPC coated headers with complete S.S. exhaust. Tranny is original 350 and completly rebuilt. Rear end has Eaton Posi with 3.73 gears.

The Coils are original and the leafs were replaced with O.E. and have been powder coated. This is a Heavy Half and was a special order truck. I have'nt seen vary many SWB Heavy Half's and would like to know numbers produced.

77SWB welcome to the forum from Cypress Texas and another 77 owner. Man, thats a very clean 77 you have. Lots of detail on the motor and a nice interior too. I really like the gray interior with the blue exterior.
Your right, ther weren't many Heavy Half shorties built. Your rocks...

Not sure how many were made like that. Definately makes the look of it. Sounds like you've done alot of work to it.

Re: PIC's of 77

Thanks everyone for the kind words. This board has some of the most knowledgeable and helpful members along with some great rides. I will post some additional photos of the Flaming River Waterfall steering wheel and rear disk brake setup when the truck comes out of storage.

Thanks

Doug

Re: PIC's of 77

The Heavy Half I bought new in 77 was a long bed and had a 6 cylinder with automatic tranny. I didn't even know the Heavy Half's came in short beds.
You have a really nice and rare short bed.

Re: PIC's of 77

That is a real nice truck . I really like the seat . I have the truck I drove in Highschool still , well pieces of it anyway . The vin starts CCL447112xxxx . i am pretty sure it was a heavy half but it didnt have any stickers or anything . It is a short wide bed and was a non a/c truck as well . 350 auto with 3.07 gears and a locker as indicated on the glove box tag . Frank

Nice looking truck. I also think the seat looks good.

Good job on the frame-off.
