i am looking for a good core for a 72 4wd k5. can i use a core support from a "69 3/4 ton LWB with AC". i think it will fit but the seller is not sure and i dont want to commit to buy something i cant use.

The actual radiator core support is virtually identical from 67-72 with minor differences like GMC uses double headlight buckets verses Chev single's. A 69 3/4 ton Chev core support will bolt right up to your Blazer, if it is an AC truck, it will have an extra hole or two which is no problem. All alignments for fenders, inner fenders, hood and grill brackets should work out fine. Do check really close at the lower part of the core where the inner fenders bolt up--3 holes on either side--as this is the first place to rust due to the metal on metal attaching.

Hey Huck I think you meant 69-72 on the core supports. They did not make 67 or 68 Blazers. Plus the 67-68 core supports are different for the chevrolets. Then again you get in to the GMC's. They are different as well with the dual lamps.

Actually other than a/c or non a/c the only differences between truck/blazer core supports is headlight bucket placement.

67-68 core supports are different than 69-72, in chevy's. Between hood and lights. Also fenders were different. IMO Rick

Other then A/C verses non A/C and the obvious difference between GMC and chevy, the only other difference I can find between 67-68 and 69-72 is the bolt holes for the lower valance on the 67-68 which would not prevent it from being used on a later model 69-72 truck. If there is another difference, what is it?

Something about the holes for the rubber mounts being different size comes to mind, I vaguely remember something about this from a past thread. maybe I'm mistaken?
