What do you guys think of my new lifted Chevy?

So what if it is only 1/8 scale...

I started this project from a hunk of junk and have had fun building it up. It's a nitro powered RC truck that started life as an XTM Xfactor but has since faced many changes. It's a 1972 C10 body. Thought you guys would like it!

That is functional cold air induction from the hood scoop too!

That is pretty cool. There is quite a following on the boards for models so you may get a lot of replies.

Re: What do you guys think of my new lifted Chevy?

The bodies come clear and you paint them yourself.

Re: What do you guys think of my new lifted Chevy?

I bought it from a local hobby shop and yes it does come clear. I just took my time, masked it off and shot it with special paint (you paint the inside not the outside) that you can get at any hobby store and Walla!

Re: What do you guys think of my new lifted Chevy?

Ya, I will do the finishing stuff and take it for a rip soon... I have a few of these, so this is kind of my 'show truck', meaning I won't run it 45MPH off of a 5' jump like I would my other ones. Plus, since I did a bunch of mods, I am not sure how it will hold up. Pretty good, I bet.

It still has some work to go. Glad you guys like it! I will post up when I finish the rest of the work. I have bigger wheels and tires and some polishing to do to consider it 'done'.

Thing only has a little .25cc Nitro engine, but since it spins up to 35,000RPMS!!! It can make almost 2HP! This one will probably go between 35-40MPH and has a 2 speed transmission. It will wheelie on demand, hence the wheelie bar... Of course I have lifted it and extended the wheelbase from stock, so that might be a lot harder now.

Ya, those blue little extension from the back are exhaust deflectors from the tuned pipe to keep the truck nice and pretty from the spent oil/fuel coming out.
