If you think he doesn't need to upgrade braking components then you're off your rocker. Since you're only running 17's I can see your point. Here's my "post whoring"... so physics DOES change after a certain diameter wheel (which is apparently >17")? Wow! I appreciate the insight. I would have thought that mass was a universal constant (toss in a little gravity and you have weight... a constant for the surface of our planet).

BTW, big intelligent words sometimes come from people who are big (I am) and intelligent (I believe I am). As for snappy rhetoric... thanks.

Stupid question here, what difference does it make having 15" wheels vs 22" wheels and the tire diamiter on the 22" is only 26" and the tire diamiter on the 15" wheel is 29", I would think I would need better brakes with the larger tire not just having a bigger rim. Most of the guys I see running 22" rims the tire sizes in diamiter are usually less.

Little confused and corrected me if I am wrong. After reading this several times I came to the following conclusion:

The weight of the wheel is not as important as the total diameter.

Going from 29 inch total wheel diameter to say 35 inches the increased mechanical advantage (leverage) of the weight of the vehicle vs 35 inch wheel diameter would require you to consider better brakes?
