He mentioned it in the first post. Kinda easy to miss though....

Dean, I might be free after 4:30-ish. I get off at 3:00 today and have to run by Home Depot to pick up something for Hart_Rob's gauge cluster (I have to show you this thing....it's awesome!!)
I will give you a shout if I can make it.

Dave, It is a peat colored comfort suede. It is a medium beige color. The pics I took really do not give a good representation of the actual color of the interior. Sorry!

cstanley: The Vintage Air Sure-Fit system that I installed had blocking plates that covered up the kick panel area vents. I covered those up when the kickpanel speaker panels were installed. The vents down there didn't do much for me. I did not care for the leaves and pine needles hitting me in the legs and lap. Previous owner must have parked it under some oak and pine trees.

Nice....what did you use to form the shapes? Lots of curvers in those areas. Roddoors flat stock or taht pressed cardboard backing?

That's a beautiful interior. I'd almost be too afraid to sit in it!

Gregfull, wanna trade? Just joking! I love seeing the updates on your 'burb! Can't wait to see what you have in mind for your interior.

Rdrdave, masonite type board was used to form the panel that sits agains the metal kickpanel area. Then layers of mdf form the tear drop piece where the speakers are mounted. Once those are placed for foot comfort (so that they will not be in the way) and imaging, they are secured with mdf braces to the rear panel. Next step is that the panel is covered in the material that will be coated with fiberglass resin. A couple coats are used on the outside and one is used on the inside to seal the enclosure. After smoothing the resin, body filler is used to smooth the surface. Then in my case, contact cement was applied and wrapped with leather.

Hey Subtle 71, nice work. Where did you get your instrument panel with no guage holes? Can you post a closer pic. Thanks.............Flat67

Flat67, The instrument panel is actually a stock replacement one that I picked up Cruisin' the Coast from Kenny's Trucks out of Tulsa. They usually make it down each year, I usually pick up a new toy each year! I prefer the clean look of the non gauge cluster panel. The only other thing I did was tape off the new chrome trim then prime and paint with a beige that matched the old interior. The only shots I have are of the older interior. Here are a few better shots of the panel.
