What 71chevytruckguy said. Truck light mega shifter. Ive got one. Mine works great. I do have long arms, but its not a that much of a strech. You could even space it up higher it need be. I can get some pics if needed.

Re: foor shifter with bench

I have the regular car type Megashifter in my truck with a bench and I can reach it but the truck version would be better.

Re: foor shifter with bench

don't worry about length, just get the light truck mega shifter from b&m and you'll be happy. i have a th350 version, make sure you get a th400 one so you have a 4 speed shifter window. actually you know what, i think they might come with both, you just install your window style for your application.

don't mind the button, that's my custom rocker switch for the backup lights since the previous owner yanked the reverse light switch on the shifter.

Re: foor shifter with bench

is it easy to hookup and do you just wire the rev switch from the shifter to the wire that goes into the column? Why did you leave your column indecator and shifter on?

Re: foor shifter with bench

I have a 68 with a TH400. The previous owner moved the column shifter to the floor using a Hurst ratchet type shifter. It sat low requiring the driver to lean over to reach the shift knob--I disliked it so much that I bought a B&M Megashifter 'truck style' from Summit (PN BMM-80680). It's $174.95 + $8.95 for handling. As shown and mentioned earlier, it is a ratchet type shifter, easy to install, has a height adjustment, cable operated, and looks great and shifts great. I don't think you will be disappointed in your purchase, if you go this route.

foor shifter with bench - Megashifter

No, I do not recall building it up on the mount --the outside housing does sit on the carpet.
Been a couple of years and I could not find a pic with housing off.

My 67 is a low hump truck.

Re: foor shifter with bench

th400's have 3 forward gears like the th350? interesting, i swore everybody was calling them 4 speeds because they had 4 foward gears. this link will answer many questions for ya, the installation instructions for the megashifter.
