Exclamation steering column

I have a 62 truck and would like to replace the column with a tilt, non shifter model....Does anybody recommend a OEM replacement I could hunt down at the junk yard...Due to funds and a lack there of I can only go with a aftermarket if I absolutely have too....thanks for the replies

Re: steering column

I've been told by numerous people that a mid 70's GM Van tilt column(with or without ignition) can be installed pretty easy with little modifcation. You'll also have to rewire the original '62 harness to the tilt column.

Re: steering column

In the FAQ forum there is a write up on this. It is the link near the top that is a list of a lot of the FAQ's and one covers the column.
