Replace or Refurbish
I want to brighten the front end of my truck up. I have a 68 front clip with chrome(or aluminum)headlight bezels, grill bezels and molding that goes up one fender across the front of the hood and down the other fender.
It is all in great shape with no dings but is dull. Is there a way polish this metal of do I have to rechrome them? I would like to keep the original pieces. What would you do? Mine are aluminum and are coated with something. I cleaned them with Mothers and very fine steel wool and they look pretty good. Mine still have rock chips but they are fine for a daily driver. I guess it depends on how you intend to use your truck and how much you are willing to spend.
