Cowl hood on 67-68...? What do you have...?

I'm thinking of running a Cowl hood on my '68 2wd SWB project. I looked on the Goodmark site and not sure if I like that hood or not. I'm painting the truck white and the hood on the web-site is black. I can't picture how it would look in white. HELP......
Do any of you have a Goodmark hood on a 67-68 pic? And does anyone else have a non-Goodmark Cowl hood on 67-68 pic, what brand is it, where to buy, etc...
Thank you for any info...

I would show you mine but the truck is not assembled, yet Check out this recent thread for a few pictures:

I have only seen one style of steel cowl hood for the 67-68, made by Goodmark.

I love the cowl hoods

There is only one manuf of the Cowl Hoods for these trucks, and it is not Goodmark. Goodmark does not make anything, they are a 100% reseller

I've got a new Goodmark cowl hood on my 67 swb fleet(68bed),,,it fits as good as the original,I dont know who makes them for Goodmark ,but it has thier stamp on it with all the correct bracings,,,they arent cheap though,,$499.00.
I'd send a pic if i could figure out how?

I had one and the fit was horrible.

Cajun's looks to fit better than mine ever would have..

I had one and it would NOT fit. I actually got the dealer to take it back even after I had beat on it trying to get it to fit. It was a Goodmark. Good Luck

Re: Cowl hood on 67-68...? What do you have...?

Well, I think I will be just stay with the stock hood for now. Maybe I'll look for a aftermarket cowl, one that I like, then put it onto a stock hood.
There is a Drag Truck somewhere on here that has a very cool 4" or so cowl. Thats what I really like. But, i'll just use the stock one for now.
Thanks everyone...

Hey Bryan, how's it going over there? You need to venture over to this part of the state sometime!!

Re: Cowl hood on 67-68...? What do you have...?

The fit is hit and miss, and depends if you have after market fenders or the originals. Here's mine and its a long way from being a good fit. Two bodymen worked on this one all afternoon and this was the best they could get it. Can't find the pic so you'll have to take my word for it.

Re: Cowl hood on 67-68...? What do you have...?

I got a goodmark 3" cowl for my 67. Bought it from Tim Christians at the moultrie swap meet for 380 bucks and it fits just right. I don't know who makes them but i do know they come from overseas probably by tug boat by the looks and no packing cause mine was stratched up pretty bad. Nothing a little sanding won't fix.
