Line X underside of Cab?

Has anyone used to at home kit from Eastwood? The Line X dealer near me gave me an over the phone estimate of $200-$300. I realized that the line X is probably better quality, I'm just thinking about saving money.

Re: Line X underside of Cab?

I would not use bedliner material on the underside.
I've been looking at options for this very thing. Ziebart stores have a product that came out last year I believe
Also - checkout www.coollizard.com

Both provide excellent protection plus offer sound deadinng

Re: Line X underside of Cab?

don't pay the high price from eastwoods rebranded crap// go to your local autopaint supplier for a large selection of bedliner stuff, here they even have it in lowes and home depot/// or if you want stuff that is designed for heat and noise reduction(bedliner is not!!!) go to www.coollizard.com

Re: Line X underside of Cab?

Also, I'm not sure how well bedliner material would hold up to being pelted with rocks and stones

Re: Line X underside of Cab?

yes i have worked good ,i used a foam brush and rollers, a bit of a rough finish// soap and water cleanup // was easy to paint over a real difference in heat and noise transfer///if i were to use it on a show type of car i'd probabally buy the sprayer set up for a smoother finish

Talking Re: Line X underside of Cab?

Thanks for the information. I had not even thought about heat or sound. I original concern was rust prevention. I will look at Lizard Skin, it sounds like the thing to use.

Re: Line X underside of Cab?

we had speed liner sprayed on the underside of the cab and on the floorboards of mine and my dad's truck when we restored the cab. It definately helped the sound deadening, even though its not really designed for it. JMO
